The Truth About Natural Beauty

There’s a lot of talk out there about “all natural” products but where’s the guarantee that what we’re using is truly carcinogen free?

What are carcinogens anyway and what about parabens and sodium laureth something or others?

In my world I barely have time for a 5-step routine let alone the hours it would take to research natural alternatives to the products I’ve faithfully used for years (who am I kidding, I buy what’s on sale).

It’s time to dumb it down for the sake of safer beauty.

I’m not naïve; I know the risks of buying chemical ridden night creams, brushing my teeth with fluoride and showering myself in man-made perfumes.  So here’s my excuse and it’s a good one – I’m busy.  I’m a mother and I am constantly being pulled in a million different directions.  I have ten minutes – on a good day –  to commit to my “beauty routine”.

I’m about to make this ridiculously easy.

This week I was at The Truth Beauty Company for an all-natural beauty makeover.  I know, it sounds an awful lot like I’m about to enforce some learning but I promise you this will be relatively painless.

The only things that last are truth and beauty

The only things that last are truth and beauty

Truth Beauty has already done all of the hard work; no more standing in the cosmetic aisle for hours reading words that end in “eth” and acting like you know what you’re even looking for.  I mean in the end all we want is a magic wrinkle eraser not a science aptitude test.  Isn’t that why we dropped biology in grade 10 (or was that just me)?

Anyway here’s the Coles Notes version:  The owner of The Truth Beauty Company is committed to living green and educating those around her on the dangers of not reading labels.

But for those who want to make the transition to natural health and beauty without a Masters in Toxicology the end is in sight.

Whether you live in proximity or not – you can shop in the store on on-line  – with peace of mind.  All of Truth Beauty’s products are hand-picked by Jennifer which means you can guarantee they are 100% safe and effective.

I know, it isn’t always in the budget to overhaul your cosmetic repertoire but I’ve got you covered.

Jennifer’s advice is to replace one product at a time according to need.  So when you run out of something replace it and keep doing this until you’ve overhauled your make up bag.  That’s totally doable.  So doable in fact that I’m excited and inspired to turn a new leaf (pun intended).  The other great news is that these natural products have a tendency to last longer.  So no breaking the budget for better, healthier skin!

Carcinogens, pesticides, reproductive toxins, and hormone disruptors are so yesterday (say it with me now).  We CAN afford to kick parabens to the curb; in fact we can’t really afford not to.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have some diffusers to unplug…
